Opportunity
The "Company" needed a scalable solution with high availability and low latency for its web applications, which faced performance challenges, especially during peak times. In addition, it was crucial to improve the security of the environment and ensure compliance, protecting applications against vulnerabilities and ensuring that the infrastructure could keep up with the company's future growth.
Solutions
We implemented EC2 machines in private subnets, managed by an Autoscaling Group in multiple availability zones (multi-AZ), with load balancers configured in public subnets also in multi-AZ. Security was reinforced with the use of AWS WAF, backup policies, and AWS Systems Manager Patch Policies. To ensure low latency and improve the user experience, we implemented AWS Global Accelerator. This architecture provided a resilient and highly available infrastructure with continuous protection and monitoring.
Results
+ High Availability
With the multi-AZ architecture, the "Company's" web application remained available and functional, successfully meeting availability requirements.
+ High Performance
The first response from the application occurs in about 1 second, and the complete loading time is approximately 5 seconds, ensuring an efficient experience for users.
+ Low Latency
The implementation of AWS Global Accelerator significantly reduced latency, improving response time for users in various regions.
